Lord my God,
Before another year begins I stop to thank You for each of the 365 days of 2014. I'm grateful for --
the relationship I have with YOU
the power you give me daily
the activist part of my heart that you awakened
the desire to proclaim that YOU alone are God
the laughter of those I love
the tears that touched our eyes
the relationships that were restored
the health we can't take for granted
the faith needed to accept curveballs
the job that maintains my livelihood
the places I saw and the things I enjoyed
the people of my family, friendship and faith communities, and
the people you put on my path who pour knowledge, prayer and friendship into my life.
Amen.
