The One whom I trust. - Psalm 63

 Psalm 63

1 O True God, You are my God, the One whom I trust.
    I seek You with every fiber of my being.
In this dry and weary land with no water in sight,
    my soul is dry and longs for You.
    My body aches for You, for Your presence.

2 I have seen You in Your sanctuary
    and have been awed by Your power and glory.

3 Your steadfast love is better than life itself,
    so my lips will give You all my praise.

4 I will bless You with every breath of my life;
    I will lift up my hands in praise to Your name.

5 My soul overflows with satisfaction, as when I feast on foods rich in marrow and fat;
    with excitement in my heart and joy on my lips, I offer You praise.

6 Often at night I lie in bed and remember You,
    meditating on Your greatness till morning smiles through my window.

7 You have been my constant helper;
    therefore, I sing for joy under the protection of Your wings.

8 My soul clings to You;
    Your right hand reaches down and holds me up.

Help me see through your eyes of wisdom

My prayer asking God to help me see others with wisdom based on James 3:17

Lord, my Heavenly Father,

I ask for wisdom that comes from heaven that is first of all pure and full of quiet gentleness.

Allow me to be peace-loving and courteous.

Show me how to allow discussion and be willing to yield to others;

Help me want to be full of mercy and to do good deeds.

Guide my actions to be wholehearted and straightforward and sincere.

 Help me live like this all the days of my life.

Amen.

You never take your eyes off me. Psalm 121

Psalm 121:1-8

I look at the vast size of the mountains—from where will my help come in times of trouble?

Eternal Creator of heaven and earth and these mountains, You will send the help I need.

You

hold

me

firmly

in

place;

You will not let me fall.

You keep me and you will never take Your eyes off me and never drift off to sleep.

What a relief!

You, the One, who watches over Israel never leaves for rest or sleep.

You, The Eternal, keeps me safe, so close to You that Your shadow is a cooling shade to me.

Neither bright light of sunnor dim light of moon will harm me.

You, God, will keep me safe from all of life’s evils,

From my first breath to the last breath I breathe, from this day and forever.

This I declare,

 that

he

alone

is my refuge,

my place of safety;

he is my God,

and I am trusting

him.

The closer I am to you, God ~ Psalm 73:28

But the closer I am

to You, my God,

the better

because life with You is good.

O Lord, the Eternal,

You keep me safe—I will tell

everyone

what

You have done.

My Prayer

Oh, Lord. That we would see and feel another's heart before speaking, typing or criticizing. That we would love without condition or expectation. That we would see others through Your eyes of love. Amen.

My prayer -2013 National Day of Prayer

Precious Lord,

My soul cries out to you for healing and peace for the brokenhearted and especially for those I love who are grieving.

Help us move into a place of new normal without our loved ones.

You understand and you count our tears.

Help us appreciate each new day between the dashes of our lives.

You alone can change hearts and minds of the evil, Father. Allow us to leave bitterness and revenge in your court, Almighty God.

Help us love each other better and to manage the time we have wisely.
In your beloved name.

Thank you Lord.

May we all remember that those around us need encouragement.

Beloved Lord God,
Tonight I ask that you give my family and friends the tranquility and focus they need for the coming week regardless of what they face.

May we all remember that those around us need encouragement.

May those who know your powerful presence share the light only you can give. May we not cave in and go along with the crowd. Lord, let me be bold!

Father, I also ask you for discernment for my Catholic brothers as they elect the head of their church.

Help me help myself to hang on to you for life.
So be it in your name.

Forgive me for depending on myself

Psalm 119:33 Teach me, O LORD, to follow every one of your principles.

O Lord, forgive me for depending on myself. Forgive me for not humbling myself before you each minute of my life. Lord, I ask you to show me how to live my life putting your will before mine.  Open my heart to receive your instruction. I love you my God.
